Reggae artiste Magma Flaymz is currently promoting his single Island Chick.

The track, he says, is one of several new releases for the summer.

"This track is already available on iTunes and next month it will be joined by other songs, like All My Life and All Night.

"All three singles are captivating and I hope they will give me the international breakthrough I am seeking," he said.

All three tracks were produced by Blaque Fya Muzic.

"We are putting in a lot of work. Summer is when most people go out and party, so all three songs are for the season. However, I am sure because of the catchy lyrical content, they will that be still fresh even next year this time," he said.

Magma Flaymz, whose given name Earl Cohen, released his debut single, called No Folly Ground, in 2005.

He later released the album Defend It, which featured collaborations with Sizzla Kalonji, Da'Ville and Lutan Fyah.

The Ratafarian's passion for the arts dates way back before his debut single though.

He told The WEEKEND STAR that his first entry into the industry came during the 1990s as a sound system selector.

"It was right during the time of Buju Banton's Stamina Daddy. I realised that I wanted to have an impact on partygoers, so I joined a system called Prince Jackies," he said.

He later joined other systems before venturing off into a music career.
