Firearm seized in St. Catherine, man arrested

The St. Catherine North Police are reporting that a Smith and Wesson Revolver and 18 assorted rounds of ammunition were seized on Tuesday, March 17.

The gun and ammunition were seized on Humming Bird Drive, Chedwin Gardens in Spanish Town, St. Catherine 

One man has been taken into custody in connection with the find.

Reports are that a house was searched and the weapon, six .357 rounds of ammunition and twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition were found in the roof of the house. The occupant was subsequently arrested and is being interviewed with a view of proffering charges.

The investigation continues.
