Gun found in paper bag on Tavern Drive

The St Andrew Central police made a big find in a small paper bag on Wednesday evening, when they seized a firearm during an operation on Tavern Drive in the parish.

Reports from the Half-Way Tree police are that about 5:15 p.m., lawmen were conducting operations in the area when they searched a premises. During the search, the bag was spotted along the perimeter wall.

On checking the bag, the cops reportedly found the handgun hidden inside.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure, but investigations are ongoing.
