Danielle Williams grateful for another final appearance
Veteran sprint hurdler Danielle Williams said while disappointed in placing seventh in the women's 100-metre hurdles final, she is proud to have made yet another final appearance at the World Athletics Championships.
After crashing into the second hurdle, Williams recovered just enough to place seventh in a time of 12.53 seconds.
Ditaji Kambundji took the title in 12.24s ahead of Nigeria's Tobi Amusan, 12.29s, and USA's Grace Stark, 12.34s.
Williams took solace, however, as in her seventh World Championships appearance, she has made her fifth appearance in the final.
She is a double world champion, having won in 2015 and 2023, and was a bronze medallist in 2019.
