Bank on Novio, Password, Absolute Blue

August 13, 2026
PRINCESS FIANE, ridden by Tevin Foster, wins the fifth race over 6 1/2 furlongs at Caymanas Park on Saturday.

LAST Saturday’s warning to avoid bankers in the first four Reggae 6 races came to pass, with SILENT CAT opening at 7-1.

Though MODERN MONARCH won the second as a 3-5 favourite, BOSS OVER BOSS struck at 6-1 in the Cradle Stakes for two-year-old debutants, influencing the $36,283 payout.

Starting with a single-winner bonus of $2.237 million, this Saturday’s Reggae 6 opens with a minefield similar to last week’s Cradle Stakes, maidens, five years old and older. Take absolutely no chance with horses who are close to six years of age, with only two ever placing as high as third in a race. Carry them all.

However, a trio of bankers is being proposed - NOVIO, PASSWORD and ABSOLUTE BLUE - which could be worth a king’s ransom, especially if a rank outsider wins the Reggae 6 opener, on which insurance would have been secured via the ‘all’ button.

NOVIO’s recent win, chasing down speedy stablemate PEPPER STEPPER, shows his improvement as a closer and a cinch in the second at seven and a half furlongs.

PASSWORD’s consecutive double-digit wins qualify the six-year-old for a hat-trick at a level higher among $500,000 claimers in the fourth.

ABSOLUTE BLUE, a disqualified winner in June, returns among $200,000 claimers, galloping 37.0 for three furlongs at exercise, which should take care of rivals in the fifth at five and a half furlongs.
