Sex life getting better with age

Dear Pastor,

I am a woman and last month, I celebrated my 38th birthday.

My husband and I went for a weekend in a very beautiful hotel on the north coast. We did not have to do anything but eat, drink, relax and have sex. I told my husband that on my birthday, it was the best sex I ever had. He told me that I am better at it the older I get.

The truth is, whenever I am not under pressure and not feeling stressed, I do enjoy sex. I wish we could go out and celebrate my birthday every six months. My husband laughed at me and told me that it seems as if I would like to change the calendar.

Some of my girlfriends told me that the older they get is the more they enjoy sex. I wonder what is the reason. My husband is the same man, he hasn’t changed, but I know when he is very satisfied. He begs me to keep my weight down and he always likes to see me in sexy lingerie. I still tell him thanks for making me feel so good in bed. But it is not just the sex that makes me happy at my age; it is the fact that I have had a good husband who shows me love all the time and says nice, sexy things to me.

I only have one regret. I am not able to give my husband children although we have tried very hard at it. My husband told me that we can do without children. At 38, he does not want us to adopt. Oh, I should tell you that my husband is 45 years old.

You have heard it said many times, I am sure, that life begins at 40, and many women have said that is true.

Women who have gone through menopause say that after that, they enjoy sex more than before. Many say that it is because they feel very comfortable knowing that they can no longer get pregnant, so they relax and enjoy themselves with their spouses.

You are only 38; you have not been able to get pregnant, but you have had a wonderful life with your husband. I know a missionary couple who love each other. But this man’s wife was unable to get pregnant. The doctor advised them that she would have to undergo major surgery to be able to conceive. Her husband said that he did not want her to have the surgery, so they lived childless for many years.

Your husband is treating you very well, so I wish both of you good health. It will not be possible for you to turn back the clock or reverse the calendar, but I am sure that you don’t have to wait until your husband takes you out to another hotel to enjoy sensational sex. Take good care of yourself and your husband.
